Does anyone have any good ideas for ways to make a pot or vase for a school project?

I have a school project im making a piece of pottery from the ancient China. i dont have a WEEL. all I have is clay from Walmart! i need some ideas! it would be best videos.but anything will help!

Is this a art class or a history class? meaning, do you really have to carve it? if not, go to Wall Mart or $ tree and buy a glass peep with the appropriate form. Paint it firtst white paint and then make the intricate porcilin see Chineese vessels. do not forget to cover with a glossy finish, because the events that had real clay.
