Good luck finding that. To cover this range with any depth mean tens of thousands of pages. The reference is the closest I can think of, even with four volumes do not cover the field.

How can a private entity to go about buying the rights to an obscure and out of print book?

So, say there's a book that is floating out of print and would like to buy the rights to it and has some limited market. How much can one expect to pay an editor (even if they are willing) to sell the individual all legal rights attached to such work? I will not name the book in question, the goal here is an approximate figure raw and perhaps an explanation of the process concerned.

Unless the publisher actually bought the rights to all original work, then they will not buy anything from the publisher. You should find out who owns the copyright and if the copyright is still active. And there is no fixed amount of money, because each book is different.

Japanese Kanji need a book that lists the origin of the meaning of kanji and pronunciation?

I want to buy a Japanese book taught these three things. I am learning Japanese so you should focus on most often in reading. Do you know the name of a book like this?

Everyone has their personal preferences. My favorite book is "Read Japanese Today" by Len Walsh. This book gives a little information about the origin of each kanji, and the meaning and pronunciation. The book covers 400 kanji, and is unique in that it is an easy to digest format. Because it is easy to read, this makes it a great book, addition to his regular textbooks and reference books.
