A friend told me that I have is the statue of bronze. I want to sell, but I show that it is not a bronze and brass finish. A magnet does not stick to it.

Only three metals stick to magnets, and the bronze is not one of they. Well, if you want to know if it's metal or not, just take a stick and beats, metal should give a clear and crisp "Ding" sound. To see if the metal is brass or not, get something you know for sure is bronze, found the back of a card (with a rough surface or a piece unglazed terra cotta) and scratch with the real bronze. Then all a discreet place of the statue with him and Compare the color of the mark of the two. bronze piece made by someone or they must be making bronze in it or the artist. The artist's search may also help.

Not only consider copper and bronze. Brass is a common material for bronze vases, which tends to be used for sculpture and is much heavier. Spelter is another metal compound that occurs frequently in ornaments old. Pewter was also used. Ebay re State is not sure what he's done.
The beauty of Asian Antiques

As even a casual observer will tell you, there are a lot of variety when considering the art coming out of Asia. History from countries like Japan and China dating back thousands of years and taking a look at what these lands have to offer in the way of beautiful antiques is just another true way to appreciate the artistry, craftsmanship and history.

Chinese art, for example, is divided into the periods relating to the dynasty that ruled the country. Chinese art can range from simple but exquisite glazed ceramic bowls in the popular and incredibly beautiful jade figurines. The Shang dynasty for intance, was known for his blue casting, while China as a whole maintains a long tradition of fine porcelain. The arrival of Buddhism to China around the year 100 resulted in a lot of religious art with themes too.

Japanese art, on the other hand, has a reputation for being more straightforward than the Chinese art although this has not always been the case. The Japanese aesthetic is what has changed over the years and today, many people associate with the grace, elegance, and a very free beauty Spartan. One area that Japanese art is known, however, is in textiles, particularly in relation to their kimonos. These skins are often one of a class and when made by a master, often have their own names and infrequently used most often appears.

When you're looking for Chinese and Japanese statues to grace your home, you find that there are many to choose from, and will have a choice of many different materials. Both countries have high ceramic and porcelain in an art form, and you can still find statues carved jade figurine, stone and wood. You can find plenty of statues Buddha, the Eight Immortals, and the Japanese folk hero Momotaro, or you can find the statues of the most familiar, as cats, dogs or children.

After consideration, the Chinese art and Japanese art, so abundant in the dragons. In Asia, the mighty, serpentine beasts were more associated with the good they are with evil, and relates to the water with fire. Large bodies of water dragons are believed to sleep under them, and often the buildings were not built more than a certain height to ensure that the dragons that live in the mountains is the sea. You'll find Chinese and Japanese art lovers to represent these creatures, which were often symbols of imperial power.

Take time to look at the elegance and beauty that can grace your home through the exhibition of Asian antiques, and found to have excellent reasons to make sure you see what these pieces of art can bring to your surroundings!

The battery is one of the symbols of rock and roll. A set of usually four or five drums, these instruments are as memorable for his appearance and his music. However, when listening to a scam through a battery of drum solo, not just the sound of drums that stand out, but the sounds of other instruments percussion as well. Drum kits can include a number of percussion possibilities besides the drum, as cowbells, wood blocks, triangles, bells, tambourines and of course, cymbals. Each of these lends a certain quality of the music created by the drummer, and each has accepted a place on drums.

Cymbals are probably the most common and certainly the most dramatic of the lack of instruments battery in the battery. These instruments are thin metal discs made of various alloys. A basic drum kit almost always include cymbals, which are usually used in one of two ways. Hi-hat cymbals are mounted on a stand with a plate at the top of the other but not touching. The upper plate is connected to a pedal which, when pressed, causes the plate to crash down on the bottom. The development of the hi-hat is believed to have occurred in the mid-1920s. The other for battery plates of a plate is suspended. In this case, the plate is suspended horizontally arm and we played with a stick instead crashed into another dish. Both types of plate configurations are usually found at the base drum kits.

The cowbell is another common percussion instrument used in drum kits. Although it resembles a real bell, clapper bells have no music, but are hollow metal semi-conical instruments are designed to be played with a toothpick. Despite its unassuming name and appearance, the bell is used in various types of music, including salsa, pop and even R & B and hip hop. Some bells are used for their distinctive sounds, some of which sound nothing like a real bell. In a battery, bell or you can connect to the platform to the dishes or provided with its own stand.

Triangles Musical, which some believe to have existed since medieval Media, also used in drum kits. These instruments are typically made of steel and, as its name suggests, in the form of a triangle. It is played with a designed especially wood, which is also steel. Although traditionally used in music as samba and orchestra, rock music has taken on the triangle in sufficient quantity a measure which can be found in a drum kit in the genre. Groups like Queen and artists like Joni Mitchell have helped make the popular instrument. The larger triangle rock and roll moment was probably the 20-second triangle only used by the Foo Fighters in June 2008 performance at Wembley Stadium.

Finally, wooden blocks make an interesting addition to the battery. These tools may be the oldest musical instrument known to man, as some authorities hold that its use predates the Bronze Age. In essence, a wooden block is a small slit drum or a percussion instrument hollow with openings in order to increase its resonance. Blocks of wood stuck together with sticks and make a distinctive sound. It can be used alone or in combination with other wooden blocks of different size and pitch.
