It depends on what the book is and who signed it. It also depends on finding a buyer who wants to buy. Any item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you have any antique dealers in your area who might be able to help or direct someone who knows. If your item is truly rare, you probably will not find anything similar on E-Bay, but worth a check.
