Is there an advantage of playing in one of the old silver clarinet?

I have an old silver metal clarinet. It is in bad shape, and even plays a little, but needs a complete set of pills. This will cost at least $ 150.00 and a little over $ 200.00 I can buy a rebuilt clarinet, or I might have my former student Bundy reconstructed model. For me the main attraction of the clarinet is the appearance of silver. I play the clarinet (and sax), mainly for my own pleasure, and sometimes the local Shriner band. I must say that I appreciate the answers so far but will probably have to repadded anyway. This is 50% playable as it is, and has a decent tone. My playing is real only in a very loosely organized band in the volume is more important than quality, (I mainly play alto sax, clarinet only when necessary) and the visual statement of a silver metal instrument is a factor. If I get more serious with access to a good 1960 Noblet wooden clarinet.

I would not mind getting old silver metal clarinet made up. No matter how much work you do in it, will never sound as good as new one. I would that put him in a cabinet or something. It might even be worth a few Bob cos you do not see many of them nowadays. I cling to it for that reason though, instead of selling it. You should buy a new instrument. Do not bother to do the Bundy. I started on a Bundy, and tools that really is not right! Go with a buffet student model. It may cost a little more, but it would be worth it.

Silver Plated
What is the difference between silver and gold plated sterling silver?

I'm thinking of getting a necklace (a dog tag to be specific) and have the option of either silver or Sterling silver. Sterling silver is MUCH MUCH more expensive. I know Htat is likely that turns your skin green, but if it is a dog tag and it does not really come into contact with my skin would be too good to buy gold-plated silver?

Silver is real money, and must have a stamp on it 925. Silver means it is not real. The silver color is artifficial, is sprayed or painted. http://stores.ebay.com/ismyrnesfashionhouse here you can find real sterling silver necklaces and more authentic.

Tibetan Silver

Tiny patterns, engraving, the style mosaics are formed Tibetan jewelry design subtly rustic flavors, it also has strong, thick old and original.

Hair Jewelry Tibet is standardized, rigorous and fun, also varies with the different regions, ages and conditions of marriage. Speaking with great interest, I like to give several examples for you readers.

Tibetan Jewelry Haired Girls

The only difference is that girls Tibetan woven braids in a triangular and placed on the head, so that it looks more beautiful, generous and elegant.

Jewels Tibetan Women's Hair Married

Girls are single stranded, while married women are double-stranded, and hairless support, and the length of the red strings are longer than her braided hair, braids women establish their circular cross at the top of the back of the head, which seemed worthy, generous and mature.

Hair Jewels of Tibetan women in pastoral areas

It is difficult to judge a woman who has married pastoral or not, because regardless of age who have many small braids on his head, like Uygur girls, unite these two small braids and decorated with strings of red hair and green cluster also corals, pearls, agates and nine counts in the eye two braids, often while the body and often skirt the edges dredging with. If you put the braids in circles above his head, looked like a crown jewelry and much styleful.

Use of hair jewelry mourning period in Tibetan

In the period of mourning, men and women Chinese are all with black armbands, while Tibetan women are limited to use different jewelry, which is the only brand to discern that occasion sentence special. The girls of Tibet in the first year of their period of mourning should wear chains chains has green hair and pale red in the next year, and that could re-use a string of red hair in the third year.

Tibetan Jewelry elderly maiden hair

Tibetan spinster Older hair jewelry is different from married women and girls are also different, an unmarried elderly also have a single braid, the braid was circled over the head adorned with strings of pale red hair, but is absent from a stand of hair.

Tibetan jewelry for hair male

Tibetan men often have a long braid, will remain head hair braided, and shave the hair below pate. Men Tibetans do not use chains to tie red hair braids, but using a string of black hair, whose color is the same with hair. Tibetan men braids are braided with three strands of hair and women who are stranded with four or five strands of hair, so men's braids are braided in a plane, seemed firmer and powerful.

* Comments to end:

All Tibetan jewelry are made by hand, and each piece is in a class by itself.
Many jewelers are created by Tibetan lamas in the temple. The Tibetans have a habit of that clay to oils in the body, and I think it is on behalf of health. Like Lama, Tibet jewelry etc. there some ties of scale.

With the rich culture and design styles heroic Minority jewels of the people can not only attract your eyes, also affect your heart and soul. In this world return to nature, mystery and some a Tibetan jewelry kind of romantic mood, even get more than the pursuit of our hearts. Even her dress, in general, as usual, whenever you use a piece of jewelry appears in traditional Tibetan colors, he seemed more attractive and outstanding common mobs.

Gold Plating
What is the significance of gold plating on a mouthpiece of the instrument?

I'm trying to select a mouthpiece for the French Horn. I wondered about over-regulation that is in the nozzle, compared with standard plates.

not just for looks. It is the saliva and the rest of their body juices contain various chemicals, including acids of one kind or another. Depending on how acidic you are, you may find interaction chemistry with his instrument. The gold coating acts as a barrier to at least slow the corrosion and oxidation of metals minors below. (A horn know I had to not only relacquer but over time the gold plate of the flash in his hand was because both reflexes and hand turned green) I think there have been studies reporting also the effect on the sound of overregulation, but do not have the item in hand. Check out any of The Horn Call (will be an old issue) or perhaps through the search engine of your choice.
