The first list you would not be appropriate for tameshigiri, or the practice of cutting the mat. Personally, I never had seen the sword, but knowing that stainless steel is the sword does not cut. Like the person above me said, carbon steel and other metals, would be more suitable for cutting. Also, I have seen many online stores for different katanas, and I know topicool not going to be one of the best. This is a great store, but many items are too expensive. This is my favorite place to buy and look up katanas. You can find a very basic and useful guide to buying a katana and the staff is very helpful if u contanct them. Edit: Another note is that you do not need more than $ 500 to buy a sword proper cut. Many of the good may differ 100-1000. Beginner swords are 60 minimum. If they choose buying a practice katana is not made of stainless steel sheet, be sure to take care of it. I made a mistake not to clean my first sword and

You will be surprised how you feel and there's a big difference between a sword which weighs two kilograms and weighs four pounds. You should also take into account the length of the sword and then use a measuring tape to get an idea of the actual magnitude of the same.

Decide what you want a sword

The first decision you have to do is why you want the sword. This will help to choose their first sword. There are two main reasons that I will describe here. If you want a sword to hang on the wall like a piece of screen that occasionally withdrawn to show friends, then you should find a sword that is made of stainless steel and required little or no maintenance. Sword Handmade
My handmade katana sword has some minor scratches, what can I do?

I have a katana sword in hand, I found that there are some small scratches on his sword, which really bothers me and I wonder what can I do to eliminate the scratches without damaging the sword? Please help!

You can try to polish out, but it's not going to be easy and can not work. Go to a flexible auto shop and ask about polishing metal compounds (metal stress, no polishing paint). Honestly though, I would leave it be, scratches add character to the sword. Do not use a sharpening stone on anything, but the blade edge.

What is better a folded sheet or stainless steel?

As quality is a folded sheet real is better, but to practice a 440 is well. If I had to pick one to go to battle with the embargo, would be a real cross Katana.
