How to clean / disinfect Vintage (second hand), shoes?

What products can be used (or household disinfectant sprays, etc.) to clean your shoes? Vintage shoes, the leather and some are delicate, etc. Is there a shoe disinfectant spray you can buy? And I will not use anything that would the smell of disinfectant for hospital use in my shoes. And I do not want anyone to respond with 'gross EW shoes second hand', because frankly I care, they're awesome.

Try a little bleach in the washer. Air dry or hang on the line in the sun.
